On Sunday, we celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. It is absolutely crazy to think that much time has passed since we were married and I wonder if I will always think that. We decided to keep the day low key since we had some things going on and also because emma=maternity leave=broke, we didn't want to make a big to do. We spent the morning outside on what ended up being a gorgeous day (must be something about this weekend because last year it was nice as well and of course 75 and sunny on our day).
Since we usually try to go out for nice dinners for our anniversaries, we decided instead to make something special at home...
Bacon wrapped scallops, steak, stuffed clams, asparagus and twice baked potatoes followed by a buttercream frosting cake... yum!
It was funny to think that we went from sitting at dinner last year talking about wanting to have a baby and wondering if we would have one at this time to this year, sitting in our own home watching little Emma sleep (who wonderfully cooperated for a nice quiet dinner) while we ate. What a difference a year makes!
