We DVR'd Conan's last Tonight Show on Friday night and I was more than eager to watch it Saturday morning when I woke up (unfortunately for Larry, this was before 8 am). I didn't love the entire show but some of his parting words definitely caught my interest. As a self-proclaimed negative person (who was second runner up as most pessimistic in my senior class in high school - shameful) I thought his final words were a great way to put an end to the late-night TV show drama:
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."
Good stuff, COCO. Good stuff.
